NARRATIVE TEXT

Narrative text is a text which contains about story (fiction/non fiction/tales/folktales/fables/myths/epic) and its plot consists of climax of the story (complication) then followed by the resolution.
A narrative text is a text amuse, entertain and deal with actual or vicarious experience in different ways. Narrative deal with problematic events which lead to a crisis or turning point of some kind, which in turn finds a resolution.
The narrative text short story is telling of a story or an account of a sequence of events. One of the four traditional forms of composition (along with description, exposition, and persuasion). Narration differs from exposition, which can also relate a sequence of events, in that narration need not be factual and may be written from the perspective of a character in the text.
The generic sctucture of a narrative text:
1. Orientation: Sets the scene and introduces the participants.
2. Complication: A crisis arises
3. Resolution: The crisis is resolved, for the better or for worse.
4. Re-orientation: Optinal
5. Evaluation: A stepping back to evaluate the plight

THE WXAMPLE OF NARRATIVE TEXT : GOLDEN EGGS

Long time ago a remote village, in central China was inhabited mainly with farmers and hunters. One day, a poor farmer lost his entire livestock to flood. He prayed hard to God for help or his family would die of starvation.Few days later, an old man with long grey beard, passed by his house took pity on him. He gave him a goose and said “ I don’t have any expensive thing to give you and hope this goose will help you to ease your hardship.”
A week later to almost surprise the farmer found and egg in his yard. This was no ordinary egg. It was a golden egg. He was suddenly overcome with joy.
Thereafter, his livelihood had rapidly improved but the farmer had forgotten his earlier hardship. He became lazy, arrogant and spendthrift.
Strangely, the goose only laid one golden egg every six months. The greedy farmer lost his patient and slaughtered his goose thinking there were plenty of golden eggs inside its stomach.
Though he very much regretted for his foolishness, it’s already too late.**

 

Histamine in fish

Fish contain higher protein than beef. However, if after eating a lot of fish, you feel migraine and the increasing of blood pressure, stop eating it immediately. Fish turned out to contain histamine, a type of essential amino acids needed children and infants, but not an adult. In adults, histamine has a psychoactive (attacking nerve) and vasoactive (attack the circulatory system) effect. In people who are sensitive, histamine causes migraine and increases blood pressure.

Bagaimana Planet Mirip Bumi Bisa Ditemukan?

VIVAnews - Para astronom di Amerika Serikat (AS) mengaku telah menemukan suatu planet di luar tata surya yang dihuni Bumi, namun bisa jadi cocok untuk dihuni makhluk hidup. Posisi strategis planet itu mirip dengan Bumi.

Posisi planet itu berjarak 120 triliun mil atau sekitar 193,1 triliun kilometer dari Bumi. Pertanyaannya, bagaimana mereka bisa mengetahui planet itu?

Peneliti dari Universitas California di Santa Cruz, Steven Vogt, dan R Paul Butler, astronom dari Carnegie Institution di Washington mengungkapkan bahwa mereka sama-sama menggunakan teleskop canggih di darat. Namun, mereka tidak langsung menemukan planet harapan itu.

Para ilmuwan rupanya mengamati pergerakan suatu bintang -yang mereka sebut Gliese 581- selama lebih dari sebelas tahun. Bintang itulah yang menjadi orbit dari suatu planet mirip Bumi, yang belakangan mereka temukan.  

Planet itu merupakan yang keenam yang ditemukan tim ilmuwan yang mengitari Gliese 581. Menurut Vogt, dua planet lain tampak menjanjikan untuk dihuni. Sedangkan yang lainnya terlalu panas.

Sebaliknya, planet kelima yang mereka temukan malah terlalu dingin. Justru planet keenam yang mereka anggap cocok, sehingga disebut goldilocks. Artinya kondisi planet itu tidak terlalu dingin dan tidak terlalu panas karena posisinya tidak terlalu dekat dan tidak terlalu jauh dari bintang.

Tadinya, planet itu akan dinamai Gliese 581g, mengingat bintang yang menjadi pusat rotasi disebut Gliese 581a. Namun, Vogt tidak setuju dengan penamaan itu. "Itu bukan nama yang sangat menarik, apalagi ini menyangkut planet yang indah," kata Vogt.

Dia lebih suka planet itu sesuai dengan nama istrinya. "Saya menyebut planet itu Dunia Zarmina," kata Vogt.

Gliese 581 dianggap sebagai "bintang cebol," hanya sepertiga dari matahari. Oleh karena itu, menurut Butler, Gliese 581 tidak akan bisa langsung terlihat dari teleskop biasa dari Bumi meski berada di konstelasi Libra.

Penemuan para astronom itu dipublikasikan di media Astrophysical Journal dan juga diumumkan oleh National Science Foundation, Rabu 29 September 2010.(Associated Press)(ywn)

Bunaken Including The Natural World Heritage

Bunaken National Marine Park located in the waters of Manado, Indonesia, has been proposed by the government of Indonesia to enter the World Natural Heritage list. Even one of the institutions of the world, UNESCO has also been reviewed directly to this location. The beauty of millions of marine life and reef here is indeed one form of Indonesia's natural wealth that no other countries have it. However, in order to enter the World Natural Heritage, it still must go through a vote of the State. Until now, the dock infrastructure and public facilities in Bunaken will continue to be increased to attract the tourists.
